PLYMOUTH – Members of the New Hampshire Electric Cooperative (Co-op) interested in being considered for nomination to the Co-op’s Board of Directors should submit their candidate material to the Nominating Committee by February 14, 2025.

Any Co-op member in good standing can run for a seat on the board. Co-op members vote annually to fill open seats on the board. “Member involvement in the governance of the Cooperative is important to our success,” said Board Chair Bill Darcy. “We are in the midst of changes in our energy and broadband businesses, which the Board will guide. Being a Board member is an important and rewarding job.”

This year, five of the 11 board seats are up for election with four, three-year terms and one seat for a one-year term. Election ballots are mailed to all members in May. Winners will be seated at the Annual Meeting of Members in June.

The Nominating Committee meets each year to review applications and interview candidates for the board of directors. Committee members consider the needs of the cooperative and nominate a slate of candidates they feel can best meet those needs. The candidates selected will be identified on the ballot as having been nominated by the nominating committee.

The Co-op is a member-owned electric distribution cooperative serving nearly 71,000 homes and businesses in 118 New Hampshire communities.
