ENERGY STAR® Products
Every appliance has two price tags – the price you pay at the time of purchase, and the associated energy cost to operate it. Products that earn the ENERGY STAR® label meet strict energy-efficiency specifications set by the EPA, helping you make energy smart choices to save you money and energy.
Heat Pumps and Heat Pump Water Heaters
Heat pumps are the most efficient technology for heating and cooling your home, with efficiencies of up to 350%—far surpassing other systems. Modern, high-efficiency cold-climate heat pumps can even provide reliable heating at outdoor temperatures as low as -15°F. Similarly, heat pump water heaters offer an incredibly efficient solution for heating domestic water, achieving the same impressive 350% efficiency. In addition to their unmatched performance, they are versatile, dehumidify the space while heating water, and provide a sustainable option for your home.
Energy Audits and Weatherization
Looking to make your home more energy efficient and comfortable? As a NHSaves utility partner, NHEC offers a whole house approach through our weatherization program with incentives available for a variety of improvements, including insulation, air-sealing and more. Project financing is also available!

Home Energy Assistance
The Home Energy Assistance (HEA) Program serves New Hampshire’s income-eligible homeowners and renters to help reduce their energy costs, optimize their homes’ energy performance and make their homes safer, healthier and more comfortable. The program covers 100% of the cost to weatherize the homes of income-eligible homeowners and renters and replace inefficient equipment. Eligibility is determined by total household income and the number of household members.
New Home Construction
Build your new home to ENERGY STAR® standards and have a home that delivers durability, comfort, and reduced energy and maintenance cost. Incentives are available for a wide range of improvements such as air sealing, insulation, HVAC measures, and renewable energy system installations, while also having the support of Home Energy Rater Services and third-party efficiency verification.
Peak Days
The days of the year with the highest energy use have significant impact on the energy rates that ALL members pay. To help control overall energy rates for our members, NHEC is offering a voluntary Peak Days program.

NHSaves®
NHSaves® is a collaboration of New Hampshire’s four largest electric and natural gas utilities working together to provide NH customers with information, incentives, and support designed to save energy, reduce costs, and protect our environment statewide.
As one of those collaborating NHSaves utility partners, NHEC members have access to all of the energy efficiency programs, rebates and resources offered.
