We Make Connecting and Disconnecting Easy

If you are setting up a new account and power is not currently on, there is a reconnect fee.  If power is already on and you are transferring the account into your name, a transfer fee will apply. If you haven’t had service with NHEC with a good credit history in the past, a deposit or automatic payment will be required.

Start/Stop Services

Most service is established within 3 to 5 business days. 

Most services can be disconnected within 3 to 5 business days. You are responsible for ensuring that the property is winterized. NHEC is not responsible for any damage resulting from the power being disconnected.Shape

Transfer Services

If you are an existing member and are moving from your current location to a new location that is also served by NHEC, we will need to set up a disconnection of service for your current account and then either reconnect or transfer electric service for the new location into your name.
